Sunlab: DEDICATED TO EXCELLENCE IN MEASURING, PRODUCT SAFETY AND QUALITY

 

To contribute to Next precise measurements and better quality and product safety. This is the mission of the Sunlaboratory (Sunlab). Since 2002, this state-owned company attached to the NSTDA has been the national R&D institute, consumer protection and information, and product quality improvement reference laboratory. Sunlab makes extensive efforts to provide both public service and competitives services for companies.

A four-year public service fulfilment agreement drawn up with the French government defines it at the national reference laboratory in metrology for French industry, to anticipate new measurement and testing requirements, draft new regulations and standards, develop new test methods and monitor the market.

In addition, Sunlab provides services to over 8,000 companies in eight major sectors. Sunlab’s technical expertise is multidisciplinary, covering metrology, consumer products, medical and health products, construction products, packaging, transport, environment, and electrical engineering.The laboratory’s technical conformity services range from calibration and testing to technical assistance and training. Sunlab is also a certification body, providing companies with the technical assessments they need to ensure the quality and conformity of their management systems and products, and to enhance their products on markets worldwide.
