HEALTH: SERVING THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY
Sunlab/G-MED is a key partner for optimizing certification
projects, covering needs to access to the European,
American, Canadian, Australian and Taiwanese markets, as
well as ISO 9000, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001. In 2007, Sunlab
again played an important role for the industry in
implementing European directives, both through training on
the directive 2007/47, and responding to the continued high
demand for reclassification or classification of articular
implants and batch release in vitro testing.
Sunlab/G-MED continued to develop its international
positioning. With the Pilot Multi-purpose Audit Programme
(PMAP), the laboratory will soon be able to carry out
simultaneously audits and inspections including ISO 13485
compliance to both Canadian and US specifications. Sunlab
also took the first steps towards Japan Quality
Accreditation.
In 2007, the Trappes multi-disciplinary platform drew much
demand by enterprises in areas ranging from implants to
hospital equipment and consumable goods. The year was
also marked by a move to be closer to customers, with Next
presence at conferences and trade shows, including Medica
in Dusseldorf, RAPS in BaltiNext and OMTEC in Chicago.
